Well-crafted, simple sounding songs that have a depth and weight when held up to the light.

Rodeo is a wonderful compilation of many emotions and many changes that we have all passed through in this life. The lyrics have a depth that you rarely find.

Elegant songwriting. Spare yet expertly layered. Love it!

You have a very authoritative voice for your songs, not too much or too little, by which I mean, there's no whining in the songs, the right amount of stoicism in the face of pain, and the pain is left largely to our imagination.

John makes playing guitar look effortless. I honestly have never seen a person move their fingers so fast and make beautiful music so easily. If you ever get a chance to catch him play in Wilmy at Ted's Listening Room, you ought to check him and his band mates out. Fun times. Great music.
